I have tried for two weeks and have used palm support. Someone on the phone suggest 4.0.1. I only have OS software for 3.5.3.
The desktop software can see the usb connection, but I can not hotsync and palm support doesn't seem to be able to help.

I don't know if it will help, but PalmOne's support
