Subject: York City Supporters Trust need your HELP now

Please make a donation to York City Supporter's Trust Now it is really urgent(details at www.ycst.org.uk ) YCST have launched a bid to take over the running of York City Football Club. For the fans to run the club we need your help, join us in reclaiming one of our clubs for the fans.

WORKING TOWARDS A SOLUTION

The Supporters' Trust is in discussions with York City's current owner and Chairman

John Batchelor regarding the future ownership of the Club.

Trust Chairman Richard Snowball explained:
"The Trust has the best interests of the Club and its staff, its supporters and the community at its heart and we want to ensure that those interests are protected in the long term."

Snowball added:
"The Trust's objectives are the same now as the day we launched. That is, we will work to ensure the continuation of professional football in York and we will work to secure representation for supporters in the future ownership and operation of York City Football Club. At this time, we believe the Trust offers the best solution to protect the future of York City."

Prior to John Batchelor's appointment of Chairman of the Club, he had clearly stated his intention to take ownership of Bootham Crescent. Ownership of Bootham Crescent has remained with Bootham Crescent Holdings plc, under the majority control of former Club Chairman Douglas Craig. Under the Trust's initial agreement with Batchelor in February 2002, amongst other matters, the Trust was promised an ownership stake of 25.1% in the Club (and whatever entity owned the ground) and two seats on the Board of Directors. As it has indicated previously, Trust representatives have been frustrated about these unfulfilled promises.

In August 2002 a planning application was submitted to replace the Bootham Crescent home of York City Football Club by a housing development. If the Club is evicted before a better stadium is in place, we risk losing a leisure and community facility of regional importance. In addition, over recent weeks there has been growing amount of speculation surrounding the Club's financial situation. Largely as a result of concerns regarding the unfulfilled promises, the ground situation and the financial state of the Club, the Supporters' Trust has now stepped in to offer a solution to current owner John Batchelor.

Recently, Trust representatives have been in discussions with various parties regarding the future of the Club and the ground on which it plays its home games.

Commenting on the future, Richard Snowball commented:
"Whilst the supporters have been very concerned about the uncertainty surrounding the Club, it must also be remembered that the staffs' livelihoods depend on its future. With the co-operation of John Batchelor, the Trust will work towards securing a solution as quickly as possible."

During the next week it is expected that representatives of the Supporters' Trust will continue to work towards securing ownership of the Club. As far as Trust representatives are aware, the Supporters' Trust is the only party currently interested in taking control of the Club.
