Subject: CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-R Problem

When I do the Ctrl, alt, shift, r command, a little box comes up in the top left, but it shows a load of files to select from like the documents folder etc. I put the Los Angeles jpeg file in the documents folder but SC4 can't seem to see it? I tried putting the '.jpg' extension to the image name but still, SC4 can't seem to see it? It can't seem to see the Desktop either. Know what the problem is?
