Subject: Major fallout of migrants in Temperance, MI (Nothing uncommon)

My yard in Temperance MI has been pretty good for migrants over the last several days (in conjunction with the Oaks and Honeysuckles flowering I THINK), but today was simply spectacular (for my yard anyway).

Birds detected in my yard from about 7am-8:45am:

Yellow-rumped: Many
Tennessee: 4 or 5
Nashville: 3 or 4
Magnolia: 1
Cape May: 4 or 5
Black-throated Blue: 2
BT Green: 1
Blackburnian: 6+
Palm: 1
Bay-breasted: 2 or 3
Blackpoll: 1
Black-and-White: 2 or 3
American redstart: 1 or 2

Baltimore oriole: 12+ (!)
Orchard oriole: 2 or 3
Scarlet tanager: Several, probably 4
Rose-breasted grosbeak: 2 (male and female)
Great-crested flycatcher: 3
Indigo bunting: 1
Cedar Waxwing: 50+

While the last several days I have seen alot of the migrants venture down to my small water garden, NONE of these birds came lower than the upper level this morning. I think the rain/moisture was plentiful enough up in the trees that they did not need to come down.

By FAR the most orioles I have ever seen in my yard together. They were EVERYWHERE in the neighborhood this morning, too, on my drive in to work.
