Subject: Lake LaSuAnn report

Eric Durbin and I birded the Lake LaSuAnn WIldlife Area in Williams county this morning, June 16 from about 6:15-10am.

76 species were tallied, among them were the following birds of modest interest:

*Henslows sparrow (several, in different spots)
*Dickcissel (6+ in one location off of state property, can't remember the letter of the road, but they're "out there")
*Prothonotary warbler (nesting pair at Lake LaSuann)
*Yellow-bellied flycatcher (a quite late migrant at Lake LaSuAnn)
*Least flycatcher (breeder)
*Louisiana waterthrush (Lake LaSuAnn)
*"Brewster's" warbler (Pioneer Scout Reservation)

Eric will lead a TNA field trip to this great summer birding locale on July 1st, and is a recognized expert on the birds of Williams county. People will do well to join him on this terrific field trip. Check your monthly bulletin for details.
