Subject: Baldwin Woods Marsh Shorebirds

I stopped by Baldwin Woods on Saturday 8/3/01 to see what shape the marsh was in. It is quite dried up with lots of good mud and a number of shorebirds including pectoral sandpiper, solitary sandpiper, spotted sandpiper, yellowlegs, semi-palmated plover and about a dozen peeps which I did not take time to identify. Those of us living nearby might do well to keep an eye on the place for something rare to show up. How about it, Chuck? Paul? Chris? Help me out here. I need to pump up my Wood County list!
