Hi Rick,

The duck and goose hunting season opens on October 18th in Ohio this year. In the past I believe this to be when access to the park is restricted to the migratory bird center parking lot. I do think you would be able to walk the mulched trail by the tower and the new trail that links over to Ottawa but am not sure. Access to the boardwalk has been open on Sundays during the hunting season in previous years.
