The Broad-winged movement does seem late this year, held up by unfavorable winds. On Sunday at Lake Erie Metropark we had about 46,000 Broad-wings, many coming late in the afternoon on a southeast wind. Those birds could have been pushed west of our area. Mondays rain probably halted the flight and then yesterdays strong west wind put any late arriving birds over us. I had about 500 Broad-wings over my house between 10 and 11 a.m.
