I remember finding one 20 feet up in a grape tangle on the Andersons Farm. By the way, any out-of-place moorhen is certainly worth a double-take. Its cousin, the Purple gallinule is known to do the same thing. As a matter of fact, the only accepted Toledo area record of the latter species came from the Swanton area (a dead bird along the road) on April 23 (!!), 1996.
