Subject: sudden death

I've been away from the board for a while, but I witnessed a Cooper's hawk attack at my Sylvania birdfeeder on Jan. 23rd. I saw him on the ground with his prey between his feet. After he flew away, I collected the poor bird's feathers and determined it was a mourning dove. There were numerous blood spatterings on the ground as well as a silver dollar size splotch of blood.
