Still there this morning at 8:00am. As described by Steve, look on the west side of the quarry 1/2 to 2/3 the way back from the road. A spotting scope is very helpful. It was the only bird on the quarry this morning. Note that it dives for fairly extended periods, so if the surface is clear, be sure to wait a minute or two.
