Subject: Count week begins Thursday

Count week begins Thursday, Dec 13 and ends Wed, the 19th. Any rare or uncommon species that are seen between those dates (save for count day itself) should be noted carefully, and submitted to count compiler, Matt Anderson.

Especially birds that we know are around, but could be tricky to find on any particular one day--things like:

Snowy owl
Short-eared owl
Common redpoll
White-winged crossbill
Lesser Black-backed gull
Iceland gull
Thayer's gull
Glaucous gull

Really, there are a whole slew of marginal species that people should keep their eyes peeled for. If it isn't common, or you don't know one way or the other, let us know!

Thanks,

Greg
