It seems that my article has caused some confusion.

It was not my intention to potray second amendment as applying only to the members of militia. I agree, as most readers of LFA do, that Right to Keep and Bear arms applies to everybody regardless of whether they are members of militia or not. I was taking that as a given, this being a libertarian magazine.

Anyways I was trying to say that people who are trained and armed are better capable of defending freedom than those who are just armed(not trained). Also I was trying to address how armed citizenry can provide liberty, security and peace without the need of draconian laws or militarized police.
