The article is nice but the depleted uranium statements I question. I am a an electrical engineer and I know enough about the stuff to know that the depleted uranium is a non starter. the vaginal buring deformities are most likely the result of other chemicals and not from radiation. depleted means just that it isn't radio active that is why they use it. It is very heay and dense and penetrates ordinary armour and tanks can use it effectively as armor. The symtoms are not consistent with radiation poisoning save for mutations and those are rare. more likely there is another chemical agent working here and they are far more likely to cause those kinds of problems. Every one equates uranium with high radiation. not true uranium is as common as tin in the earth. you have to enrich the uranium to make it of any use for a power plant or bomb. please tyr to stick with facts. now plutonium is a different matter it is higly poisonous in it's own right even with out the radiation factor. uranium dust is mot a good thing but it would not cause those symtoms.
