JohnE,
I never said that "faith will convince" If a person does not have the willingness to accept things on faith then no amount of explaination will convince them to believe in a Higher Power.

Faith does not make people believe in angels, people believe in angels because they have faith.

Just because I believe that God can has created and controls the laws of physics, doesn't mean that I am going to jump off a building to test Him.

I didn't say faith was misplaced in science, what I tried to show is that many scientists had faith in science that was proven wrong later. Science as it is is not infallible.

As far as using a dictionary to define faith, as I said before if you have faith no explaination is neccessary.

Government influenced by people who believe in the initiation of force to advance their particular religious beliefs is what delays research. Christian libertarians, as we define ourselves, do not advocate the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals. Persuasion, not coercion are the tools of the Libertarian Christian.

Nicholas Boer, Albert Einstien, Leonardo DaVinci, Galileo, all these and more expressed belief in God.

Then who specifically are the men and women who "have the basic humanistic traits that are so important to society"?

I was complaining about your use of the word never in the context of "Christians ... can never be true libertarians", not your grammar persay. I have empirical evidence that proves your statement wrong. It is a card that I carry in my wallet saying that I am a member of the Libertarian Party, I also consider myself a Christian, but I have no membership card to prove it although my picture and name are in the church directory and I am a deacon there.

Alright you have convinced me that your not a devil worshiper, but I doubt you will ever convince me that your not an anti-social, condescending, foulmouthed, insensitive jerk who doesn't have and wouldn't recognize "the basic humanistic traits that are so important to society."
