I can't believe this topic is still being debated. Of all the different things affecting us and our freedoms religion should be the least concern we have right now. Religious debate has been the major cause of almost every major conflict in history. Religious disagreement is the basis for the Sept 11th attacks as well as it being a hot topic in our own revolutionary war. The majority of early Americans came here to escape religious intollerence so does it really matter whether your a Catholic, or an Athiest? Libertarianism is a political view not a self realization view. It matters not what religion we are we can still be free even with religion. Now I do agree that many times religion controls how people act but as long as it does not serve as the government then it is still a matter of free-choice how people act. That is the key to what we should be working toward ensuring our abilities to choose how we behave within the laws of basic rights and wrongs that are evident in every religion. Tollerance is a big key to liberation.
