Somewhere below Liberta begins with:

"That's a pretty bold accusation to make of me, 'Because folks like you will always look for a way to rationalize their deaths!'"

But then proves my accusation with his/her own words when he/she states:

"Those that wish to help the US in that effort will probably not be harmed by the US. Those that can, but, choose to do nothing to prevent the terrorists from attacking free market capitalists are my enemies. Sadly, that includes some poor bastards in huts who's entire existance on earth consists of being overthrown, over, and over again."

This attitude is prevalent among Americans, sadly. This willingness to dismiss innocent people's deaths as a rationale for some mysterious "greater good" is exactly why 'they' hate 'us'.

Americans can talk themsleves into believing that "anything" they do is good, making it easy to accept this "you-are-either-with-us-or-against-us" mentality, and rationalize thousands of foreign deaths as nothing more than collateral damage.

Why do they hate us, indeed.
