I believe that the author is correct as far as he has gone. For people to say that he is going to great lengths to rationalize the events of 9/11 is just plain burrying ones head in the sand. We are hated because our government sticks it's nose into everything everywhere.

I think, however, that there is one other thing that is missed here. Our corporations have gradually colonized most of the world, dictating wages and laws within these countries as they have done so. These "colonizations" are no less an intrusion in the internal affairs of others than our governments efforts to influence and coerce.

We as voters (if we wake up) can effect change in our government. What do we do about our global corporations that do not have anyones best interests in mind aside from the bank accounts of their share holders and executives? PROFIT IS PARAMOUNT! Keep in mind that these very same corporations have "colonized" our own government and are a very large part of the reason why it behaves the way it does.
