Dear faithful Liberty For All readers and contributors,

As webmaster of LFA I have been toying with the idea of setting up a new message board for the site for some time now. There are several important reasons for doing so:

1- This board is very slow and seems to be down about half the time. And when it is up, it takes forever to load (and I am on broadband cable access.)
2- I don�t really like the way this board is structured as well as I like other �forum� based communities.

3- This board is hosted on a different server than our website is hosted. Not that that is really a big deal, but the servers at LFA seem to be pretty good.

4- Limited configuration options. A new board will have more options.

5- I have grown to hate this board.

6- This Board sux.

7- This board sux.

8- Have I mentioned this board sux?

Anyway, I say all that to let you know I have installed a local server based forum that I may replace this one with. I like the config. options and I believe it looks much more consistent with the quality of the rest of our site. It will only be down if the entire site goes down, so that will be better for our users. The ONLY negative aspect of this possible new forum is that you are REQUIRED to get a Login and Password to use the forum. In other words you MUST register. Now for us regulars that probably will not be a big deal, but for casual readers it could reduce the number of people who contribute to the debates that carry on in this board. But, if someone has something they feel is important enough to say, most folks will go ahead and register. And if they will not take the time to register maybe what they have to say didn�t matter that much anyway.

I will set up a topic group for you to make comments and let me know what you think, or you may respond on this board if you wish. However, I am leaning towards the new board so you may as well go ahead and register (evil grin hee, hee,). But based on what our valuable regulars feel about it, I may or may not switch it around.
