Subject: Australian Idol: reality show or talent show?

Is Australian Idol considered a 'Reality show' or a 'Talent show'? There are numerous talent shows on here but Australian idol is missing, even though it contains much the same format as other talent shows.

How do you distinguish a reality show from a game show anyway, as they both consist of non-actors competing against each other for a prize at the end? I'd be interested to know what people think.

Great site by the way.. brings back some cool memories.
