Ah, now I get the picture.

On the other hand, I did notice some sort of similarity between the shopping round on "Temptation" and the shopping round on the original $OTC.
First of all, on the original $OTC, if you had a certain total score you could choose to take home a large prize such as an overseas holiday, expensive jewellery, a car, etc.
But depending on your total score, you could only take home what prize you could afford with that score. For example, if you had a total score of $186, you could only choose to take an outdoor set which would be worth $150, or if you had a total score of $564, you could only choose to take the car/s which would be worth $515. (Values and prizes changed over time, but I don't remember watching episodes from that era)
On Temptation, you could only choose to take home whatever prize you won on a certain night (i.e. if you won on the second night, you could only take home the prize offered on that night).

The other similarity I noticed is that on "Temptation" it would take 7 nights to win the lot, as was the idea when the Winner's Big Board was introduced on $OTC in 1989 (until 1993 when it was extended to 8 nights).
