I think it was a set up by the girl instead of the KTV. Sure the girl is a co-suspect and work for those guys. This story repeated happened in the north china for the past 10 years. Tell him don't trust the girl as all the identity card and document can be fake. Girl beaten was part of the set up, I saw it many times before, even in Shenzhen(when they were caught and admitted to the police). The girl probably owed them money and that's why don't allow to contact again. Check the no with China Telecom or call the police and tell them U were robbed. I got tons of relationship in BJ army which can tear them in pieces.
