I had a similar case around 6~7years ago.
The girl asked for brandy where they gave her a full glass of Coke and I caught them and they denied and asked me to pay RMB4500 for the bill.
Before I left the hotel, they had copied the taxi plate number and I didn't carry more than RMB1000 with me and seperated them in two pocket RMB800/200. They checked my wallet where I didn't acrry my credit card and I told them they have to come with me to my hotel to collect the money if they insist that amount.
They eventually took my RMB800 and gave my RMB20 to take taxi back to hotel.
