Subject: Baseball Signs Dickson

Centenary baseball coach Ed McCann has announced the signing of Drew Dickson out of San Jacinto Junior College in Houston, Texas.

Dickson will enter Centenary as a freshman with four full years of eligibility. The six-foot righthander pitches and plays third base. He hit .378 with ten homeruns and boasted a 2.10 ERA while playing for The Woodlands High School. Dickson was named All-District and All-State while helping the Highlanders to a state championship in 2000.

"Drew is an extremely talented player both at the plate and on the mound," said McCann. "We are excited that he will be joining our team."

Centenary College is a Division I member of the NCAA and the Mid-Continent Conference. Located in Shreveport, La., Centenary is the smallest Division I school in the nation.
