If you like to believe in delusions, be my guest. You are wrong on many counts, Jrfeffer. I am not a Bible expert but any priest can tell you that the choice has to be taken before your death. Do otherwise on your own risk. The outcome is pretty certain IMO.

You will not be given any "true sign" other than the sign of Jonah concerning the truth about God. Many people refuse to see the truth simply because they prefer to worship satan instead, like the many muslims who take such huge pride in their scarfs, veils and beards. This kind of pride is a sin and therefore you can say that it is their evil nature that prevents them from seeing truth. I presume you are a pretty haughty person, quick to judge other people - these are not qualities much admired by God; He says that the humble shall inherit his kingdom. This is my impression of you - excuse me if I wrong, but you seem to be of a rather stubborn, stiff-necked nature. Maybe you need to fall flat on your face in order to give up your machismo/In Me I trust philosophy.

God created science, but the creation should not be worshipped more than the creator. Maybe you evolved from the apes but mankind didn't. There is a significant difference between animals and human beings. The latter knows the difference between good and evil. And how can you tell with such certainty (and arrogance) that Earth is but a spec of dust in the universe? There is nothing wrong with believing in science and today most scientists have come to the conclusion that it does not contradict the Bible. But then, you are not a Stephen Hawking but a hamburger salesman so I can understand this development has escaped you. Try a little humbleness - true wisdom can only be found in the Bible. Only a fool says that God does not exist.
