HOW THEY GOT HERE:
#5 Clemson def. #12 Chattanooga 51-49 (Forns hit 2 FT with 0.8 seconds left in regulation)
#4 Xavier def. #13 Louisville 80-52 (XU hit a school-record 14 3-pointers)

OVERVIEW:
We already know what to expect from Xavier, so let's look at Clemson. The Tigers are a strong defensive ballclub, which reflects on their 64 points allowed per game. Their strength seems to be their perimeter defense, but they have a solid center in Erin Batth, Batth is the Tigers' leading rebounder and 2nd-leading scorer, although the team leader is Chrissy Floyd. She is the Tigers' go-to player in the clutch.
However, Clemson is not a particularly big ballclub, and if Batth gets into any foul problems early, the Tigers do not have much frontcourt depth to bail themselves out.

PREDICTION:
Xavier has had problems in past NCAA Tournaments with quick teams, but they have the inside game to go down low in the post to score, and proved on Friday that they can shoot the 3 as well. It's Xavier's last home game, and a 14-0 record at the Cintas Center should improve to 15-0 by days' end and give the team their first ever trip to the Sweet 16. XU 72, Clemson 64
