OK, there is an article in the Salem Statesman Journal dated yesterday about Cheryl Burnett, coach Southwest Missouri State, being considered for the job. It mentions another other "possible candidates". It should surprise no one, of course, that Melanie is being considered for top jobs.

"Other coaches who are possible candidates include Utah’s Elaine Elliott, Xavier’s Melanie Balcomb, Denver’s Pam Tanner, Florida State’s Sue Semrau and University of the Pacific’s Sherri Murrell, the Eugene newspaper said.

Xavier finished 31-3, making the NCAA Elite Eight; Utah was 28-4 (Sweet Sixteen); Florida State was 19-12, reaching the second round; Denver finished 24-7 and made the first round. Pacific was 17-11, but did not get an NCAA berth."
