Subject: Great site

I found your site through a websearch.I love it. Finally i found other fans of Emergency! out there.
As achild, I grew up around the fire house. My dad was chief in 1971.I have seen every episode at least fivetimes each. When the show would go off, I would immediately go to the basement and play Emergency.I had a plastic fire helmet that i wrote 51 on in marker.I also had an old raincoat that I wrote L.A. County 51 on the back in marker.I even pretended to write the directions on paper.
One year my dad made me a biophone out of wood and painted it red. That along with a play first aid kit completed the getup.
I lost interest as I grew older. When a local fireman got killed in 1980,I never wanted t be a fireman after that.I never had the stomach to be a squad member.
Now I smile every time I hear that buzzer go off on t.v. and the trucks pull out of the station. It takes me back to when Roy, John, and the rest of station 51 were my heroes. In a way theystill are. I hope to get to D.C. someday and see Squad 51 in person.
