Her misty blue eyes filled with tranlucent tears, her gastly white spirit of the black wolf shudders with emptiness. Thoughts echo through her mind. ~Mystic was my cousin and best friend, like my sister. I love her . . . I miss her so.~ She gulps, her throat burning with sadness. ~How come she had to go?~ She hates herself for her self-pity and thinks of how Jacona must feel; he was Mystic's mate. She gives in to both feelings of self-pity and sorrow, then opens her jaws to the moon, howling out her emptiness. She stays like that, perched with her head to the sky, a song of good to Mystic coming from her, for quite some time. When her head finally comes down, the tears come and roll down like pearls. She sobs, and the hollow feeling won't go away.
