Nancy this is only true to a certain extent. There may be instances of some episodes in the early years (although off the top of my head I can't think of any), however one that sticks out in the early Color years is the episode from Season 7 when Steve goes back to his old hometown of Bedford Springs ("Fly Away Home"). It is here that the street with some of the house fronts were utilised and these are indeed from "The Andy Griffith Show". You have to remember that there were many television series in the 60s that were not strictly Desilu Productions, but whose Producers leased Desilu as their primary filming facilities. Desilu had several soundstages at various Hollywood and Culver City locations as well as a "ranch" where outdoor scenes were sometimes filmed.
