This was tonight's (7/14/03) episode on KAZ-TV. It was indeed Socrates who, at least according to the script, wrote or dictated the essay. I'm no expert on ancient Greek history or philosophy, but I thought Socrates had never actually written anything himself, or if he had, those writings no longer exist. This essay may have been dictated by Socrates to his pupil, Plato, who I think is responsible for most of what we know about Socrates.

Any experts on the subject out there who may know something about this?

Thanks
Joe (TV King)
