I recently organized my Army records.I ran across my basic training photo
album which includes a picture of Don Agrati. Seems he had joined the Illinois national guard (allthough he was a california resident), finding a guard unit in another state who had openings was a popular option in that era. You went to basic training and then were assigned to your guard unit
waiting for call up, which typically didn't happen.( the draft filled the armys needs).He did basic at Ft. Bliss Texas, January 1968. Just some interesting trivia you may be interested in having.
