For the first three seasons the angels characters were
based on the personalities of the actresses that played
them. Their roles in assignments were based on those
personalities. We never saw Sabrina jiggling around in a
swimsuit...it wasn't in her character.
When Shelley Hack was hired, she was hired for her
classiness and any assignment where she needed to rely on
that classiness, Shelley and Tiffany both soared ("Three
for the Road"). Likewise, when she was allowed to be
herself, no matter the situation ("Angels on Campus",
"Angel Hunt", "Nips and Tucks", "Of Ghosts and Angels",
"Cruising Angels", "Fallen Angel"...just to name a few off
the top of my head)...she was equally good. It was the
mishandling of the character, and the insistance to ignore
her personality that hurt the character...why was Tiff
expected to go undercover as a prostitute with Kelly in
"Angels on the Street"? Why was this case chosen as the
time to take Kris out of her bikini? She was much more
suited to take on that undercover assignment than Tiff was?
Would they have ever done that with Sabrina?...the answer
is no.

Tiffany Welles WAS a real angel. They all were...even
Julie, who I personally see no use for; And Tiffany in no
way SUCKS!
