Come Home Soon -- Kathy & Greg, 09:27:22 01/17/02 Thu

Bret, Jen, Schnee...Come on back. Medicine Man burning great piles of sacred flowers as we chant...I don't know if it will help, but it's sure a lot of fun.

A place for zoners -- Bret, 02:34:21 01/17/02 Thu

Hey now philzoners!

As you probably know, philzone.com is temporarily down. Unfortunately we thought we were close to resolving the issues, but it seems the problems run a bit deeper than we first thought. Don't worry - we'll be back up soon - but send us your good vibes for a speedy recovery.

In the meantime, we don't want you to feel like you've been left out in the cold, so here's a temporary place to gab in the meantime. Sorry for the ads and the prehistoric layout.

Fluffy, you whore -- briank, 11:49:56 01/17/02 Thu

I don't care how much cranberry you drank. You gave me scabies and gardnerella last week, and now I'm on Cipro. I thought I was done with that after my anthrax scare, but all because of you I'm back on it. Those weren't handcuffs - they were ankle-cuffs. You were supposed to put them on to keep your legs together so you wouldn't put another guy through the same pain as I'm in. I guess I should have played it safe and gone for an all out chastity belt. You whore!!!

Fluffy, you really are a dipshit. That jumpsuit's latex, not leather. And it's Bobby pink, not just pink. It's the color your genitalia should be, and once were, before you became a skeezy ho!

Now, I know you must have seen that HBO Sex show on the Mistress of Latex. I loved the way they were rubbing that green stuff all over that babe, but really had to feel for the fat guy they stuck in the sweat suit. Didn't stick around to see how much he sweat by the end of the special and sort of glad I didn't.

Liked the shrink wrap deal though, I wonder what Fluffy would look like in one of those. Might help the Cannery smell!

hey everyone! vine #25 and #54 update -- Brian, 12:48:24 01/17/02 Thu

Huge positive vibes to the Zoners and their technical help!!!

anyway, back onto a phil topic.

I have both vine #25, and #54, and will be sending them out in the next day or so. sorry for the delay, but i've been in bed for a while with a damn head cold and streph throat. i have been really enjoying the soothing sounds of some 73 (esp. 11/20/73) and 74 (esp. 7/19/74) shows, but my head and throat are still aching.

and the worst part of being sick is that my training is really suffering. i have a race next weekend, but i am still quite medicated and aching. not a good combination, but i hoping some soothing music can see me through.

anyway, it good to know everyone is still out there!

peace...Brian

Let's have a little decorum, people -- Sandy Branch, 13:01:26 01/17/02 Thu

I must object to being forced to wade through this vile sexual commentary in order to be back on the zone. It was one thing when we could pick and choose the threads to which we would expose ourselves. My delicate sensibilities are offended and I doubt that I will want to have sex for quite some time after reading the parody of sexual parody (no, that wasn't a misprint) which precedes this missive.

Please children, there are minors present. There are also finer intellects who wish to dwell on the glory of Phil and this community without being drug through your pathetic adolescent filth.

If you want to be damned to hell, go ahead, but don't take me with you. I will pray for your souls, you faceless cretins.

Sincerely,

The Moral Minority

Well Sandy, it's a good thing that you now have an aversion to sexual relations. It should lessen the pain of your continued and forced chastity. Intercourse with a Falwellian is, well, rather Falwellian anyway.

And don't worry about the youngens. They need to be scared. If Weir and Wasserman can "Scare the Children," then so can we.

This filth may be pathetic, but it sure as hell isn't adolescent!

Isn't falwellian sex an oxymoron? Or is moral minority? What is morality without the context of the community? If morals decline in a forest does anyone notice? Will there ever be a spring tour?

Yikes Pat Robertson and Jimmy Swaggert have enter the building. Hey maybe Tammy Faye and Jim Baker can give
us some moral high ground to base our lives..No I think
the Catholic Priest might be better to preach the moral
high ground...You know the ones that have a ten years
statue of limitations on messing with boys..

Oh I can hear the deafening silence of the PC world...

That being said....Listening to Bird Song from Oxford MA 88...
Anybody remember the Ultra Light flying around the speedway
during that song...I think on the last verse you can hear
Jerry almost bust out with a laugh...

I sure as hell remember that Carlin. Friggin awesome. My brother met up with the dude fling the ultralight later that night. It turns out he was the guy who played Big Bird on Sesame Street. How bizarre is that? Big Bird was flying overhead during Birdsong. Do you have a quality recording? Email me.

BigBird during Bird Song....Kind of figures after those shows.

Yes I have a good one of that night...Need the other show.. Yeah I was listening at my desk and you can hear
everyone cheering. But as I was reading Mrs.Falwell, it hit
me. I think if I remember correctly watching Jerry looking at what
the crowd was cheering about and he had a Big ole grin like the rest of us looking at that thing...Im telling you, you can hear
the smile on his face....(yes I said hear).

In honor of this post and all the kind music going around
when Fluffy gets home Fluffy will offer Fluffys picks in
your name...But in the mean time those that don't understand Fluff and what Fluff is ,should just keep putting
money in the plate for Falwells "the people of WTC deserved

In case anybody is following the killer dog trial in S.F., it appears that the prosecutor has brought up the spectre of beastiality as a contributing factor. Not sure which of the defendants or both is suspected, but sure beats OJ.

This has got to be a joke...Bob Saggett..
Guess you've never seen his early stand up...
Sorry man/woman he's not all the Family man you think...
Next time listen to him on Howard Stern when he's on.
He used to be a regular... He is a nut...
Infact it used to be the running joke everytime he was on
how people thought he was this nice pure comedian and infact in his stand up he is not.
Also lets talk about how falwell was on larry king
after the 99 woodstock (I agree it was bad) mess, blaming the the people and the
music of the 60's for the corruption of society.
Lets talk about how he tried to rip apart Keasy and Ken
dismissed him for the nut job Falwell is...
So you are highly hypocritical in your view, you go to
a house of worship where the leader thinks a band like the
Dead are the down fall of the world.

Extreme views whether they be from a Falwell or Larry Flint
are the problem not the solution.

based on your particular goals. If you're losing Setting weight loss goals is probably one of the more difficult things to do when you embark on an exercise and/or diet program weight for your health, your goal might be more modest, say 4-10% of your current weight. But what if you have something more specific in mind like a certain clothing-

Set Your Goals

If you've determined you do need to lose weight, your next step is to set a reasonable weight loss goal for yourself. You can base your goals on any number of factors, but a great place to start would be the general recommendations set out by the American College of Sports Medicine which are 5-10% of body weight or one to two pounds per week.

Keep in mind that these calculations offer guesstimates. There are a number of factors that affect weight, so it’s best to take the results you get with a grain of salt. For example, BMI is affected by how much muscle you have…if you have more muscle, your weight might actually be higher than what is considered healthy on the BMI chart, even though you have a healthy body fat percentage.

Busting Online Copyright Thieves -- junaid khan, 23:50:41 10/01/09 Thu

Busting Online Copyright Thieves

How safe is anyone's copyright online?
Well imagine my surprise when I clicked on a website link to discover that someone had not only copied my website to their server - but was selling my ebook and undercutting me
in the process! Some dishonest person operating from Eastern Europe had literally stolen my entire business and I discovered it only by sheer luck.
After some very lengthy and threatening emails I got themshut down, but the question remains, how safe is your copyright online and what can you do to protect it?
Traditionally written works have enjoyed copyright protection not only through the rule of law, but also because of the physical difficulty in stealing another person's work. Let's face it, photocopying a 210 page book rates about as much fun as watching paint dry and at 6 cents a page you're talking a quick ten dollar printing bill.
If you steal someone's book, print up a thousand copies and try to get it onto the local bookstore's shelves, the chances of getting caught rank pretty high.
But the online world has changed those rules and physical safeguards significantly. The Internet, email and the Web make it easier than ever to steal someone else's work. With
the most basic skills and a few mouse clicks, someone can take your book, your website, and along with it weeks, months, and even years of your hard work.

Elements of Web Hosting -- junaid khan, 01:44:46 10/08/09 Thu

Elements of Web Hosting

When you first start out trying to get a site on the Internet everything seems so confusing. Obtuse acronyms flow freely through the 'Beginner Friendly' information sites and definitions can be hard to come across. The main reason for this is that the Internet and the process of getting a website online is really very simple, and once people get past the first stumbling steps they rarely remember the difficulty they once had, which leads to them being unable to understand the next wave of dot com newbies.
So let's begin with defining some of the basic terms that are commonly thrown around when looking for a web host. You'll quickly realize that computer geeks like using big words for simple concepts. What do you expect from a group of people that decided to call half a Byte a Nibble?
Web Host: These are the people that supply your website with somewhere to sit and be accessed from. They're often a wealth of information, so when you're trying to find your feet it will often be worthwhile to contact their tech support and get your questions answered. Because of this, it's important to contact them BEFORE you sign up for any packages to ensure that you'll receive a timely response. Just fire an email their way and see what happens.
Disk Space: This is the same as the space on your own PC's hard drive. Web Hosts will allocate a certain amount of space to your website, usually in Megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB). This determines how much you can store on your site.
Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be retrieved from your site within the bandwidth period. The bandwidth period is the length of time before your bandwidth gets reset once again, usually about a month. Bandwidth is measured in MB and GB, like disk space. Always find out the consequences of exceeding your allocated bandwidth before you purchase a hosting package.
Domain Name: The domain name is your personal identifier on the Internet. This is what gets typed into a web browser's address bar to reach your site. Some hosting companies will offer a domain for free, while others will have the facilities to provide one for a minimal cost. SQL (MySQL, SQL Server etc.): Structured Query Language. This is the language used to interact with databases. Chances are that if you don't know about it when you start looking for web hosting, you're not going to need to know about it for at least a little while longer. HTTP: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. Basically, how the Internet works. It is the protocol governing the transfer of web pages from one place to another.
