The craziest move we have had was arriving back late one night with a howling southerly (blowing down river, the tide ebbing and darker than the "Black Hole of Calcutta" regardless of shore lights, and trying to avoid one outbound and one inbound vehicle ferry. We actually have to pass the vehicle ferry ramp to get to the mooring. After stumbling around in the dark and dumping rain for 3 hours we finally hooked on. We kept quite at the club house the next night when it was mentioned about some crazy multi-hull coming in on the previous night. It should be mentioned we carry strobe lights in side our navigation lights as an added safety feature.
