tom, the summer is short most years, and this year it was just 4 july. i wore all the same clothes i wear on the tug in the winter, and still got really hypo thermic a couple of times. with the right clothes and a little more freeboard you could stretch the season. i might try a short trip this fall. for a family trip, i would say july~august.
