Dear Sir
I am a sailor
I live in Jamaica and I recently acquired a plot of land in Port Royal Jamaica
I want to set up a Nautical Museum here as I think that this is sorely neede in this town
So much of our history is tied up to these instruments John Harrison's chronometer was taken from Bristol in England to Port Rpyal to prove that accurate time keeping at sea was possible hence the determination of Longituide was possible
Port Royal as you may know was the pirate capital of the world
I would like to speak to the gentleman on ICE BREAKER to get some ideas and to exchange some thoughts
I have built my first quadrant and I will be building my first cross staff shortly The back staff would seem to be a problem and the Astrolabe is definetly a challenge
Please reply
Neil in sunny Jamaica
