Nice to meet ya Paul! ...
Nimble 20 .. nice boat ...
How was your frost last nite?... in Deland ?
---------------
I am still trying to find my way around on this site so please excuse the newbie if I mess up and end up in the wrong place ...duh ...
Thanx for the nice comments ...
-------------------
I am still building on the Frog ... may plan to go a West~ East route towards summer ... head for Europe and the Med .. see Steve Cary and Gilbert in Antwerp .. Robert is in Poland ...
Greek islands would be nice that time of year ... don't know yet ...
-----------------
Yes ... AiT ... is trying to find their new ... 'identity' ...as it where ... Nick is in the pipeline .. but as it is ...
Deve and I are the .. 'Ten foot' boats ... so ..
-------------------
Deve is still here with me in Florida ... he is weighing his options ... thinking things out .. will probably go back to Maine .. build a new boat .. or buy ..
Just yesterday... I found a real nice long straight piece of 4 X6 about 12'-0 long ... if Deve wants to use it for keel .. he is still convinced that light~weight is best ...[even if it means more puking] if not enjoying a Barbados cruising day ...
----------------------
I have been working on Slap Shu II each day trying to get back on the oyster bars ... new sail .. new center board .. bigger keel chine on the bow ... made a new pair of bamboo oars .. long ones like yulohs ... that will transfer to the Frog.
My test for the Frog's mast didn't make it past the boatyard .. is definitely for a ballast boat! ...way too heavy for Slap Shu .. duh ... so will work out great on the Frog ..but alas ... no water test.. but big enough to hang extra laundry on for my fat little Frog! ... [she's gonna need all the sail I can hang] ...
Still working on the articulating ballast keel part .. tweaking ...
I am learning by leaps and bounds ...with the Sea Steady book ... and taking as council all the suggestions to help get the Frog to break 70d windward ...
Deve has his doubts [nothing like a Devil's Advocate in my back pocket! ..hahah]
-----------------
OK close to post ...
Frog
[are there any gallerys on this site for pics?]
