Just to be clear, we're not running biodiesel to save the world; it's just that our virgin pink yuppie lungs aren't used to the particulate matter of real diesel. Haha.

Seriously though, we thought about going to wood when we were having the cockpit redone. But even in the absolute worst case post-peak scenario, I gotta believe that we will be able to get some kind of burnable oil: petro or bio or other. In other words, I accept the premise that diesel will be a luxury good in the future, but as long as we're in relatively moderate/tropical climates where we're using the heater only occasionaly to take the nip off, I'm OK with paying luxury prices. You really can't beat the energy density of the stored fuel.
