I'd say the state is making matters worse. Because of the massive revenue shortfalls every possible enticement to development is being offered, as well as all sorts of really stupid things like funding trap-neuter-and release cat programs when they just need to be put down. I'm in the middle of a bit of a war with folks on this in a local forum. Finally, there's just a bit push to legislate simple, low impact living out of existence by continually adding permits and complainces and fees to every aspect of life, while simply raises the cost of living, precludes sustainable lifestyles, and entrenches growth policy. Please weigh in. I'm often the lone ranger on the issues.
