"Measure twice. Cut once."

and

"Think - THEN do."

Doing an unreasoned "something" is generally not effective and is often harmful. If my boat is taking on water, and so I react by spraying the cabin sole with my fire extinguisher, I've 'done something' but I have not improved the situation. For me, it's the same with this filp-flop from 'New Ice Age' to 'Global Warming' all from the same basic cause (industrial emissions). Reading the fine print, it's clear that while there are many thoughts there is little hard data on cause/effect. There is even some question as to why other planets in our solar system may/may not be also warming (we didn't do it - I can just about guarantee that...)

In short -to me- it's not:

'all or nothing',
'turn or burn,
'fly or die'

...it's more a matter of 'Think then do. Doing 'something' may feel good in the short term, but it's an emotional reaction, not a reasoned response.
