a couple examples of indigenous cases--off the cuff I have no answers.

Maybe Anne Hill's book.

Maybe "Sailing the Farm"

"Libertatia" which was the first libertarian attempt at colonization of Madacascar was a Seastead, that's important. Shelled to hell by the British Fleet. That's important as well.

Ask the question, why the hell would you build something that could float but couldn't move? You've given up mobility which is the primary advantage of being afloat.

Point out that people have been living on sailboats in Sausalito for at least 80 years and it's a bit less than visionary.
