The show last night was fantastic!!! The band was incredibly tight and looked to be having a great time! They played a great variety of songs from all four albums. The sound and voices were dead on! The House of Blues was a perfect venue for them. Not too big, not too small. They played about 2 hours to a crowd that love them.

Dave played great! All of his stuff was teriffic and his bass just popped out on "I Can Remember", really true to the original. He had an easy and freindly rapport with the fans.

I was realy gratifying to be part of the show. It was emotional to be there and to be overwhelmed with just how good they sounded. They made no concessions to time. They opened with the great riff from "I Wanna Be With You" that set the tone for just how crisp they'd be the whole night. The best part of the show was that it wasn't a situation like where it was a bunch of guys playing at the local summer festival and reliving the glory days. These guys are still first rate musicians, can sing and play at an extremely high level, and put on a great show. The music is as good as ever and the show was top flight.

I'd love it if this became more than a reunion tour. Although I've liked most of what Eric Carmen has done in his solo career, it was clear after seeing last night's concert that these guys truly are a band and really belong together. It wasn't just the "Eric show". Dave and Wally Bryson sang many songs, too. Eric's and Wally's harmony on "Don't Want to Say Goodbye" was killer and underscored why they should never split. I sincerely hope that the guys can keep it together this time.
