tough call. i've always found it best to measure this by the clean/stretchy factor. if they're dirty, they must be washed. if they're stretched out, i wash them to shrink them back to the appropriate size. i think that's how most girls do it. if they're clean and still snug enough for wearing, they're good to go.

now...for guys...who i don't think worry about their pants not being tight enough, i'd say to base this answer on cleanliness. as i'm not sure how to answer it, i asked jason at work. his answer: "if it's like khakis that you wear to work then home, you could probably go 3 or 4 times without washing them. now if it's a pair of work pants that you're doing stuff in, i'd say wash them between each use. it really just depends on the pants."
