I never knew Karen, but her Dennis Conroy newsletters were of GREAT help in my writing of the Shames liner notes. I can very much appreciate her love of the group AND be jealous of her being there when they were a top band in Chicago. Many thanks to Karen and my condolences to her family and friends and all Shames fans all over the world. Clark Besch
