Hello, Rich,
First of all, I'd like to help by pointing out that there are quite a few "on demand" publising services available today. I've seen several well below your $1,000.00 price point, something that you might want to look into given the special-interest nature of any Beale book.
Now, putting on my "former editor hat", here's a couple questions that I have:
1. Given the contentious nature of Beale solutions, have you researched the possibility of including professional commentary on your decipherment technique. Nothing will help prove your case more, in the eyes of your readers, than the seal of approval from a professional cryptologist or university professor.
2. What "added value" does your book provide beyond the description of the decipherment? Do you include supplementary research, conversations and historical information? I ask this primarily due to United States Copyright laws, which simply do not extend into the realm of ideas, recipes or code. It would be unfortunate, but legal, for someone to buy your book and post a description of your decipherment online. If this were to happen, any supplementary information the book contains would ensure continued sales despite of this.
3. You mention that "The good thing about my decipherment is that it is a partial. It gives everyone else a chance to decipher the rest of it..." Is this because you have not completed the decipherment or because you have chosen not to release it? If it is the latter, I would advise you to include the full translation. Anyone paying "hard earned cash" for a book whose raison d'etre is a solution to a code better darned well include the solution to that code.
Just some thoughts,
Adam
