Sonsa: A New Beginning -- Stranded: Advertising

For seven hundred Turns, no Thread has plagued the planet of Pern. Human and dragon alike thrived. Three new colors of dragon started to appear. The planet that had once been constantly plagued by the menace from the Red Star flourished. Little did they know what was held in store for them...

Unexpectedly, the silver threads started to rain from the skies once more. After seven hundred Turns of living happily and Thread-free, the Pernese were caught off guard. Thread destroyed most of the eastern part of the continent, demolishing Benden Weyr, Telgar Weyr, Ista Weyr, Igen Weyr and all of their holds. The remaining Weyrs, Fort, High Reaches and Southern, and their holds took in any survivors. If the tragedy of Thread wasn't enough, the Pernese had to deal with the fact that their aging queens weren't laying any more golden queens. After the significant loss due to Thread, Pern needed all the dragons it could get and the remaining Weyrs dragon's and the surviving dragons weren't enough to protect the planet.

Just when things looked their bleakest, a miracle sprung out of the tragedy. The former senior Benden queen laid an extremely large and pale colored queen egg. This egg was nearly twice the size of any other large queen egg. Everyone rejoiced until the egg hatched.

When the egg hatched, it revealed a giant and extremely pale colored gold, later dubbed a white-gold. Everyone anxiously awaited her to Impress but she didn't. She informed the other dragons that Hers was not there and that she would wait for Hers. The searchriders were once again sent out but to no avail. The Pernese were once again beginning to loose hope, until a report of a possible HAD came in. The searchriders went out and fetched the HAD girl and brought her back to Fort Weyr where she Impressed the white-gold Fayneth.

Two Turns later a new Weyr was formed and the white-gold and her Impressed were named Senior Queen and Senior Weyrwoman. The Weyr, located in a small island chain of the western coast of the Southern Continent called the Sonsa Islands, has been named after the island chain it is located in. A new Weyrleader has been named and a magnificent clutch has been laid that contains two queen eggs.
