Subject: Do you take or protect?

In a happy little once upon a time, a large society of elves occupied these lands. The beautiful horses that also had free range of the area captivated them, and eventually some elf at some point in time captured and tamed one. A legend was born.

Over the centuries, the elves developed into accomplished equestrians. They bred their horses with as much care as they would choose their own mates, selective to extremes and nearly obsessed with the idea of perfection. The awesome characteristics that these creatures strived to donate to their beasts of burden ironically enabled the species to survive long after their domesticated ancestors' masters.

Now, nearly a millenium later, the equines are free to roam. Unfortunately, freedom has taken its toll. The elves left something behind, something known as the Arc of Hierarchy. This would bring divine powers to whoever might posses it, be they beautiful or beastly, elf or equine. The equine population's increasing interest in the pursuit of this power eventually forced them to disunite, permanently destroying their sacred brotherhood in their frivolent greed. Today, two such groups continue to search for the Arc: the Tihr a' Lahn, whose chief interest is conforming all horses to their serverely orthodox beliefs, and the Arianai, whose chief interest in retrieving the Arc is dictating the region with their overwhelmingly tyrannical society. The Peacekeepers, or Seeyata, fear both possible outcomes, hence they try to maintain a balance between the Light and the Shadowed.
