Sold is an RPG based upon the Christian concept of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as one God as a Trinity. After man has failed to put the Trinity before all else and fallen to sin, the Trinity ends the world as we know it and a new race rises to power: equines. Though unbeknownst to them, they are soon put to the same test as man, a test judging whether or not they can resist the temptation to sin. The horses are soon beset with three plagues: drought, famine, and disease. Throughout their suffering, they come to believe that the Trinity has abandoned them and thus fall into a state of despair, and war breaks out among them. The devil himself, having procured a body similar to those of the Trinity's subjects, appears to them and promises them life in exchange for the one thing they have left: their souls. In all of their desperation and insanity, they take his offer, though in disbelief soon forget that he was even there. In a few days' time, they are fairly healed, though the devil returns to them, and declares them his own property, and thusly imprisons them within six gates, impassable unless they fight among themselves for rights to pass. In truth these gates are merely a boot camp in which the devil will train himself a mighty army with which he will instigate and uprising against the Trinity. However, unbeknownst to him, the Trinity has placed a seventh, forbidden gate beyond the sixth, thusly allowing the enslaved equines to pass into purity and sinlessness, and into the realm of heaven as their souls are returned to them. However the road to the seventh gate is not an easy one, and the devil himself lurks behind every corner, watching, waiting...
