Hi! Thought I'd avoid filling up the place with a separate hi thread. It's really nice to see this place. I started my own writer's community on livejournal, but it's mostly full of people my own age (late teens, early twenties), so it'll be really nice to be able to get the opinions of some 'grown up' writers.

I'd quite like to see different opinions and approaches to writing, too. Personally, I write for my own enjoyment, and don't really want to do it professionally. I'd love to see something of mine published one day, but I'd rather have a career and do my writing in my spare time. It's great to be able to show my stuff on the internet, and my writing's really flourished with being able to show it, originally on online journals. I think the net's a great medium for sharing work.
